It's probably about time I updated again. Life has been interesting, readjusting hasn't been terrible, thankfully. I'm just trying to get back into the swing of things here. I'm slowly getting my work schedule back on track, everything is just taking a little longer than I was planning, but I am very thankful for this time that I had to slow down, and refocus.
I've been spending lots of time with family, which has been great. This past week Cherie, my 15 year old niece who I hadn't seen for about 1 year and 2 months was here and spent the week with us, that was great, got to have lots of fun with her. And then on Friday Celesta, Christy, and Chloe, all of whom I also have not seen for that atrocious amount of time, came up for the weekend. We had lots of hours of talking, and staying up to ungodly late hours.
Carolyn and I also spent a weekend down in Delaware visiting Pat. We had a marvelous time on the beach and shopping, talking, and finding perfectly charming little coffee shops.
All in all its been great to be home!

I'm home again..... It's strange, it doesn't really feel like I've missed a beat here. The world has moved forward, but I don't feel out of place. It is wonderful to be home with my family again.
I do however, miss Emmanuel tremendously. I miss waking up and knowing that I'm gonna be serving other people all day long. I woke with such purpose there. I miss being around 400 kids all the time, never truly being able to escape from them. They are all in my heart, and I miss them so much. But I know this is where I'm supposed to be right now. So, here I am.

My Momma, pretty much superwoman, is turning 57 tomorrow! Sadly I don't get to see her on her birthday this year but I get to see her next week!

Last monday, September 15th, is Independence Day in Honduras. Every year, there is a big parade in Guiamaca for all the schools that want to participate. So this year, I had the opportunity to go with a select group of our kids here from Emmanuel, and help supervise while they were marching in the parade. It was really great to see the Honduran culture in action, sadly here in Emmanuel we don't get too much of that. I'm posting some of the gazillion pictures I took. Enjoy!
